For the last decade, Matt Avery, a 1987 Lock Haven University graduate and former wrestler, and his wife, Maureen, have been avid supporters of Lock Haven head wrestling coach, Scott Moore, and the Bald Eagles' nationally-recognized wrestling program. The Averys are honored to provide financial assistance to student-athletes competing for the program Matt once proudly wrestled for.

All In Day of Giving Generates More Than $145k in Student Support

The Lock Haven University Foundation (LHUF) secured more than $145k in support for students during its ninth All In Day of Giving fundraiser, held from 10 a.m. Thursday, April 13 to 10 a.m. Friday, April 14.

Since launching in 2016, All In has generated more than $1.16 million in essential resources that help Lock Haven students and student-athletes flourish in the classroom and on their respective fields of play.

First-Generation Family Patriarch Honored with Memorial Endowment Through LHU Foundation

In honor of the remarkable life and career of 1954 alumnus, William "Bill" Ira Vance, and his 35 years of dedicated service to educating and mentoring students, the Vance family has graciously endowed the William I. Vance Memorial Scholarship through the Lock Haven University Foundation.

The Vance Memorial Scholarship will assist exemplary Commonwealth University-Lock Haven students seeking a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) career, with preference given to first-generation students majoring in computer science or any of the natural sciences.
