Alyssa Fohl, a junior communication student at Commonwealth University (CU)-Lock Haven is a recipient of the Lock Haven University Foundation’s (LHUF) Dr. Saundra K. Hybels Memorial Scholarship for the 2024-25 academic year. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to one rising sophomore, one rising junior and one rising senior excelling in the field of journalism.

Ryan Feger, a sophomore accounting student at Commonwealth University-Lock Haven is the recipient of the Lock Haven University Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship for the 2024-25 academic year.
Feger is following in the footsteps of his father, Jeff Feger, who graduated from Lock Haven with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1994. The Fegers’ three-decade long Lock Haven connection instilled in Ryan a profound sense of pride, both in his academic pursuits, and his ultimate goal of one day taking over the family business currently run by his father.
Justin White, of Philadelphia, is the recipient of Lock Haven’s Big Train Dintiman Scholarship, and Ron and Jo Ann Bowes Locker Room Scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year. White is a senior sport administration major. He is also a wide receiver and two-time captain of the Lock Haven football team.

Madison Gouge, of Hagerstown, Maryland, has been named the recipient of the Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) Zeta Nu Scholarship for the 2022-23 school year. Established in 2018, the Zeta Nu Scholarship is awarded annually to an active sister of the ZTA sorority at Commonwealth University-Lock Haven. Gouge, a health science major in the pre-physician assistant program, is preparing to enter her senior year in the Fall of 2023. She is also pursuing a minor in psychology.

Kerri Hoover, of Bellefonte, is the recipient of Lock Haven’s Rebecca Gross Award for the 2022-23 school year. Hoover is a senior communication major with a triple focus in advertising & public relations, electronic media, and journalism. Along with boasting a 3.99 GPA, Hoover is also the president and co-editor of the Eagle Eye, president of the National Communication Honor Society, Lambda Phi Eta, and a member of LHU’s Full Gospel Fellowship, and WLHU Radio Club.

Christian Good of Muncy is the recipient of Commonwealth University-Lock Haven's John F. Curcio Scholarship and Perna Family Memorial Scholarship for the 2022-23 school year. Good is preparing to enter his senior year in the 3+2 undergraduate physician assistant (PA) program at The Haven. He is also an Army ROTC cadet and a member of the Boxing Club, the Christian Student Fellowship, and Campus Crusade for Christ.

Carson Ikner, of Altoona, is the recipient of an Honors LHU Foundation Excellence Scholarship and Academic Honors Scholarship for the 2022-23 school year.
Ikner is a second-year junior, health science major in Commonwealth University-Lock Haven's 3+2 undergraduate physician assistant (PA) program. In the classroom, he boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA. Outside the classroom, he is actively involved as a member of The Haven's Global Honors Program and Health Science Club. He is also a local volunteer, assisting Downtown Lock Haven Inc. with organizing weekly community events.

Casey Hibbard, of Rochester, New York, is the recipient of Commonwealth University-Lock Haven's Athletic Training Alumni Scholarship and Chris Andorfer Ward Memorial Lacrosse Scholarship for the 2022-23 school year.
Hibbard is a 2022 graduate, summa cum laude, of Lock Haven's 3+2 health science program, with a concentration in exercise science. This fall, she began graduate studies in the athletic training program at Lock Haven.

Morgan Marchakitus, of Sweet Valley, Pa., is the recipient of the Hunter-Harnishfeger Family Scholarship and Ken Thompson Marine Biology Award for the 2022-2023 school year. Marchakitus is a senior majoring in biology with a dual concentration in marine biology, and ecology & environmental science. She is also pursuing a minor in environmental studies.

Madison Leister, of Lewistown, is the recipient of the Dolores Lynch Scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year. Leister, a senior social work major, is also pursuing a minor in sociology. Along with boasting a 3.5 GPA, she has spent three years as a peer mentor with Lock Haven's TRIO Student Support Services program and has completed a semester of work-study with the Salvation Army.

Sarah Casher, a non-traditional student in her junior year of studies in LHU's social work program, is the recipient of the William and Twila Sote Memorial Scholarship, Robert F. Johnson Scholarship, Paula Bell ROTC Scholarship, and Donn and Mary Ann Zaffuto Wagner Academic Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Along with boasting a 3.78 GPA, she is a married mother of two with a full-time job. She is also a part-time enlistee in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
