The brunch, held in the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center, is a celebration of donor generosity and student success at Commonwealth University-Lock Haven.

Joe ’84 and Terri (Wise) Koehler ’85 made their first gift to the Lock Haven University Foundation not long after graduating nearly four decades ago. For Terri, a first-gen grad turned lifelong educator, and Joe, an accomplished, 38-year IT engineer, helping LHU students overcome financial barriers to achieve professional successes has always been a cause close to their hearts. Now, however, for the first time in their nearly 40-year history of proudly supporting students, Joe and Terri have established their very first student scholarship: The Joey Koehler Educational Professional Experience Grant.
Peggy McFarland ‘79, a professor emerita of Elizabethtown College, retired in 2017 following a remarkable career in academia. Her journey from the family farm in the small town of Red Lion, to her student experiences at Lock Haven - a time she says transformed her life's trajectory to becoming an internationally-respected leader in social work education - is nothing short of inspiring.
For the last decade, Matt Avery, a 1987 Lock Haven University graduate and former wrestler, and his wife, Maureen, have been avid supporters of Lock Haven head wrestling coach, Scott Moore, and the Bald Eagles' nationally-recognized wrestling program. Giving back has always been natural for 1959 Lock Haven State Teacher’s College (LHSTC) graduate, Jim Berkebile. The Lock Haven University Foundation (LHUF) secured more than $145k in support for students during its ninth All In Day of Giving fundraiser, held from 10 a.m. Thursday, April 13 to 10 a.m. Friday, April 14.
Since launching in 2016, All In has generated more than $1.16 million in essential resources that help Lock Haven students and student-athletes flourish in the classroom and on their respective fields of play.
